I have the pleasure of working with Bay Area artist and UC Davis professor, Lucy Puls to create a short video of her installation at Verge Center for the Arts in Sacramento. Show runs till Oct. 25.

I've been documenting the Crocker Art Museum's Block by Block Program these last few months. I'll be following three artists who were selected as they create their art with community involvement in specific districts. The districts are in under served areas that are rich in culture, creativity and art. The culmination is a block party in October 2016. Congrates to the three artists at this press conference. Looking forward to seeing their ideas manifest as I follow their journey!
Working with photographer Kurt Fishback, I shot and edited this short video for his KickStarter campaign to photograph women artists in their studios. A great project!.
I was out yesterday at Oakridge Elementary shooting video of the tour that came through and the planting of the school orchard by the students and Common Vision. I feel fortunate to see first hand, the impact of these gardens on the kids.
(From the SCUSD e-newsletter. Photo-SCUSD) California policymakers and other decision makers saw first-hand the benefits and challenges of providing farm-fresh fruits and vegetables to Sacramento students during a tour of Oak Ridge Elementary’s school garden on Tuesday morning. The tour was hosted by the University of California, Division of Agriculture and National Resources’ Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program. Its goal is to bolster support for farm-to-school grants. Funding for those grants is currently included in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, which is expiring. Also on Tuesday, the nonprofit group Common Vision planted 17 fruit trees in Oak Ridge’s garden My daughter Coco wanted to do a video as if she were a reporter talking about the bats under the Yolo Causeway as they exited at sundown. Fun stuff!
